AWARDCO

🦄 Unicorn status: 1 billion valuation after series b $165 million

Senior ux designer & UX Design Manager

January 2024 - now

I'm a product designer at Awardco, where I've worked on both what employees see and the admin tools behind it. On Redemptions, I designed how employees around the world redeem their rewards. On Platform, I designed the systems every product depends on, like sign-in, permissions and shared components. Across both, I focus on making complex tools simple enough to use on their own. My two areas of focus  during my time at Awardco have been Redemptions and Platform.

Redemptions

I designed how employees turn recognition points into real rewards, and the admin tools behind that experience. My work covered global pricing, catalog management, compliance and post-purchase flows, and helped Awardco deliver on its largest enterprise contract.

Highlights

  • Launched 5+ features to all clients, including point expiration, checkout attestation and redemptions across countries

  • Met 8 enterprise contract requirements for a global client

  • Turned a manual pricing process for 300+ clients into a mostly automated one

  • Led a design sprint that set the product direction for a new employee-connection feature

Projects (full case studies coming soon)

  • Global Reward Pricing: Automated how rewards are priced fairly in each country, worldwide.

  • Catalog Management Tools: Gave admins variants, inventory tracking and flexible pricing for items they ship themselves.

  • Points Lifecycle Rules: Built expiration rules that follow country laws and adapt to fiscal years, transfers and departures.

  • Checkout Compliance: Made sure employees understand tax terms before they redeem.

  • Order Status Experience: Let employees see order status and tracking without contacting support.

  • Gratitude at Redemption: Brought redemptions back into the recognition loop.

  • International Shopping Experience: Opened other countries' catalogs to employees while keeping their home point value.

Platform

On the Platform team, I designed the core experience that every Awardco product depends on: how users sign in, how admins choose who can see what, and the shared components other teams build on. My focus was making complex settings clear enough that admins could manage them without help from support.

Highlights

  • Designed a reusable user picker that now powers Roles & Permissions, notification settings and Nomination Programs, with a goal of replacing 80% of the platform's older pickers

  • Redesigned Roles & Permissions to cut support needs and setup time, launching fall 2026

  • Brought login and sign-in emails in line with the new Awardco brand, on web and mobile

  • Led discovery on future admin tools, turning engineering research into design direction

Projects (full case studies coming soon)

  • Shared User Selection Component: A single, configurable component for selecting users and groups by employee data, now shared across products.

  • Access Management: A clearer way to set up roles and permissions, organized to match the platform's products and easy for admins to maintain on their own.

  • Sign In Rebrand: A refreshed login and sign-in experience built on the new brand.

  • Mobile Login Templates: Sign-in emails that let people with multiple Awardco accounts choose the right company.

  • Test-Mode Email Controls: Settings that keep test emails from reaching real employees while a company is being set up.

  • Data Field Management: Early concepts for one place where admins can see and manage all their employee data fields.
